Weekly: Spain dominates November trading

Spain topped the weekly most active credit default swap list for the fourth straight week with almost $6 billion traded across 370 contracts during the week ended November 26, 2010. With the month over now, Spain clearly dominated the credit default swap market activity volumes during November with about $24 billion in activity across 1,371 contracts.

Single-name corporates in the list this week included Banco Santander, Swiss Reinsurance, Merrill Lynch, France Telecom, Telefonica, Allianz, Assicurazioni Generali, Deutsche Telekom, MBIA, Telecom Italia, BNP Paribas, E.ON, Credit Agricole and American International Group.
